Kashi Hummus Crisps: A Review

One of the coolest things about being a blogger, is sometimes people give me free stuff and ask for an honest review.  I’m more than happy to help.  I love free stuff!
Last week I received a package from BzzzAgent, a company that matches products with reviewers.  Inside was a bag of the brand new Hummus Crisps from Kashi.  I like Kashi products pretty good. I mean they don’t make Snickers but they have plenty of salty, chewy, sweet, crunchy, yummy, snacky products to choose from.
I don’t know if I’m alone in this, but I make much better food choice for my children than I do for myself. So I really wanted to know what Ty (my two year old) thought about these crisps.
First, he loved the bag.
Then he loved the snack.
The crisps are crispy, but they are popped. I liked that they are crumblier than potatoes once they are in your mouth.  No sharp edges in little mouths.
I liked them, too.  I enjoy hummus from time, but these didn’t have any of the “beany” flavor I was expecting. They were salty (in a good way) and crunchy.  Definitely a solid potato chip replacement with fiber, protein and whole grains.
Kashi is more expensive than store brand snacks but it’s healthier and Ty enjoys it.  I’ll be working this into my grocery budget.
