Blah, Blah, Blah, Good Choices

There is this really great mall in Charlotte.   Jason and I used to “visit” it for date night when we lived up there.  I say visit because it was way too pricey to really shop.  We would walk past Tiffany’s, Kate Spade, Tommy Bahama and we would dream.  I just knew one day I wouldn’t feel so in awe of these stores.  I for one don’t think it’s crazy to spend hundreds of dollars on a purse or a pair of shoes.

I’ve been thinking about that mall a lot over the last couple days, wishing we were in a different place with money.  I don’t want to sound ungrateful because all the really important dreams are coming true.  (Being a stay at home mom is the biggest one.)  Sometimes it’s hard to stay on the path we know is best for us.  I wish we could go out and finance a car and a house full of furniture.  We could make the payments, but I know that’s not the best choice.  We want to have a future that is secure.  Retirement and college funds.  But still, sometimes all these good choices just sound like blah, blah, blah.
OK so I wouldn't spend hundreds on this one.  $328!

  1. I'm with you...blah, blah, blah! I find myself saying "What if college is unnecessary when my kids are 18?" It's wishful thinking... I know!
