Hello. It’s Monday. I'm Busy.

Busy and productive is the season of life I’m living in at this moment.  As a stay at home mom, honestly I'm surprised.  After I decided to quit flying and stay home, I thought I would only contribute clean floors and a fed baby to this world.  Only for a season, of course and those are things that need to be done.  They just do and I’m happy to do them.

But recently I have had some really exciting opportunities.  I’m in the middle of organizing a bra drive event for Mrs. Pate’s blogger bra drive.  My blog is growing.  (Thank you for reading, commenting, following and encouraging me!)  Voices: Write to be Heard, a local writer’s group I’m a part of is rolling forward and picking up momentum.  I get to go to a blogging conference in October.

Yesterday, my husband warned me about taking too much on.  I was surprised to hear that come out of his mouth.  Jason works more than anyone I know. (Well, I think he and my dad might be tied.)  But he’s right.  If you spread yourself too thin, everything suffers.  I have to choose the things I add to my life.  I can’t do it all well.  I just can’t.
I feel incredibly lucky that dreams I didn’t even know I had are coming true.  This season of staying home with Ty has been exciting and full.  I’m growing and writing.  And cleaning floors.  And feeding babies.

  1. I wasn't familiar with Free the Girls; I am very interested in looking at that opportunity more closely.
Enjoy this season. Babies are a hard, sweet, fleeting time.

    1. Please visit www.mrstmpatewrites.blogspot.com and participate in the blogger bra drive. She has all the details. This is an easy way to make a lot of difference.
PS thank you for the sweet encouragement. I am enjoying every minute of babyhood.

  2. I'm excited to find your blog. It's rare that the first thing I see from a blogger is a commitment to keeping it simple. KISS (keep it simple, stupid/sister/sweetie) has been my calling this year. I've been having a bit of writer's block lately, so I'm excited to link up with your weekly writing prompts. Can't wait to add some more consistent content, and read along with others who are doing the same.

    1. Welcome Wendy. Ever since I become a mother, I've really tried to keep the stress out of my life and that means I don't get to do everything I want to do. But this is just a season and I know all too soon I'll have more free time than I could ever want.
Please join our writing prompts. They really get the juices flowing. Every Wednesday I post the prompt at www.voicescharleston.blogspot.com.
